Our client has an opening for an Oracle Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Architect/Engineer to support a contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the DC metropolitan area. This individual will work with the customer to design, prototype and enable the target reference architecture for the agency's business intelligence solutions using the Oracle database and Oracle BI tools, including BIEE (Siebel Analytics) and Hyperion.
Specific position responsibilities include: * Defining and documenting a new reference architecture for the agency- wide Data Warehousing environment * Defining and documenting a new reference architecture for the agency's Business Intelligence platform, based on Oracle OBIEE Plus * Presenting proposed designs and updates to upper management within the Enterprise Architecture program office as well as CIO office personnel * Working with program development teams to convey best practices for both data warehousing and OBIEE implementation Technical Requirements: * Oracle Database experience * Data Warehouse design/development background * Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (BIEE) Plus experience * Hyperion/Brio BI tools experience Additional Responsibilities: • Contribute substantially to the presentation layer architecture for the enterprise reporting and business intelligence solution at DHS • Contribute to data warehouse architecture, design and implementation efforts across the agency • Assist with database performance architecture activities for Decision Support applications within the agency • Participate in design and code reviews, documentation of design, and implementation of methodologies to ensure high quality deployments. • Assist in the data modeling process across program groups. Candidates should possess undergraduate degrees and should have 7-15 years of hands on experience as a data warehouse and business intelligence implementor and architect.
