JOB DESRIPTION: Developer will be supporting a Government Agency by
providing supporting JAVA design and development. Responsibilities include
both front-end and back-end detailed design, development, and unit testing
of all code developed. Additional responsibilities include documenting code
developed and fixing bugs in the development for various applications.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience or 10 years
experience in lieu of degree. Candidates with a Master's Degree and relevant
school experience may qualify with four years of general experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS: The candidate will do full cycle Java J2EE development in
an environment that supports: RUP, Agile, Extreme Programming, Lean POJO.
The candidate should have hands on experience working with: Servlets, JSP,
EJB, Frameworks (such as Struts, JSF, Spring, and Tapestry). They will also
work with ORM tools such as Hibernate or iBatis Java-based development and
configuration management (Eclipse; Developer, Ant, JUnit, PVCS, Subversion).
The candidate should have familiarity with database design in Oracle. The
candidate should have experience in SOA and web services using SOAP, WSDL,
XSDs and REST. Candidate should have familiarly with Linux OS. Working
knowledge of industry standard development practices and concepts: preferred
ones are SOA, UML, MVC Development experience in popular relational
databases. Candidate must have working knowledge and experience with SQL.
Expertise in the configuration and execution of test scripts using either
Rational Functional Tester or HP/Mercury Quality Center. Excellent
inter-personal skills.
