We have an urgent requirement for * Sr. QA Engineer** **.** * Please send me your consultant updated resume, contact details ASAP if they are available and interested. * * *Position: Sr. QA Engineer** **.** **Location: ** **BayArea**, CA** **.* *Duration: 6 Months.** * *Job Description:*** As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Advertiser Publisher Group Platform Engineering Team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of QA Engineering tasks including; design and development of an automation test framework with the open source framework Selenium, coding and executing automated test scripts using basic java, including some design and execution of API level tests for Java Application Services (JUnit). You will be responsible for the automation and testing of external and internal systems, ensuring that users and quality requirements are satisfied to specifications. *Responsibilities:* Work closely with Development (Frontend and Backend), Quality Engineering, Product Management and Technical Operations during the development, test, and launch stages of the software development and release cycle (Waterfall and Agile). * Define test plans and test specifications for functional, unit, integration and performance testing, as well as the manual execution of test cases, and reporting product failures of Custom built J2EE/Oracle/Linux applications * Develop test frameworks in Selenium for UI regression test automation and when necessary, and potentially execute unit test automation (Java/JUnit) primarily for API/Web Services * Create and execute complex database queries (SQL, Pl/SQL) to validate database (Oracle 10g RAC) performance and data integrity * Follow project milestones; design, implement, document, and execute tests; evaluate and communicate results; and investigate product features (including ad hoc testing) *Required Qualifications:* * BSCS and 6+ years of Quality Engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. MSCS and 5 years experience * 3 + years experience with testing web based advertising applications with focus on display graphical and video Ads. * 2+ years experience with Dream weaver 5.0, Flash5.0 * 6+ years software quality assurance engineering experience in an enterprise environment * 2+ years experience with Java/C/C++ programming * 3+ years experience with automated test tools and Automation testing with Selenium/Java. * 2+ years automation test framework/object repository design with automation script coding (Descriptive programming) and execution * 2+ years Web-based GUI testing of Java/J2EE applications * Thorough understanding of business logic of display advertising applications * Deep understanding of Object Oriented and event-driven programming * Experience with XML, HTML, Javascripts * Complex PL/SQL & SQL query design (Stored Procedures and Triggers); relational database testing (Oracle, MySQL, Teradata, SQL Server) * Proficient in UNIX, preferably Linux/FreeBSD (Perl, Bourne, Shell Scripting) * Customer-focused, ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multi-task on multiple products and projects *Ideal Qualifications:* * Masters' degree with emphasis on Computer Science, Computer and Electrical Engineering majors * Experience with Selenium * Experience with scripting languages including Python, Perl, Ruby, PHP, Shell Scripts, VBScript, etc. * Demonstrated experience with J2EE and web technologies, e.g. EJB, JSON, Swing, JBoss, Hibernate, SOAP, AJAX, JDBC, JMS, Struts * Experience with Unit Testing framework tools like JUnit, HTTPUnit, XMLUnit, PHPUnit, DBUnit, Etc. * Certifications, such as OCP, CSTE and CSQA * Experience with defect tracking systems and other software life cycle management tools (Bugzilla) *UI automation (Selenium/Java) :* For this position we need over average java skills (7/10). We use Selenium RC and have our own Selenium/Junit framework in place. Candidates with Selenium IDE experience only or with Selenium/Ruby or Selenium/Python won't be a good fit for us. We also need over average Javascript, some experience with SQL queries and Linux.
