Technical Analyst Responsibilities Document Applications/ Technical Architecture • Inventory all current IT applications that support the P2P process • Understand key functionality and the existing interfaces for each application • Document the associated technical infrastructure • Summarize findings Identify Key Technical Discriminators • Identify the key technical criteria that will drive the package selection • Determine the applicability of “hosting” vs. “software as a service” Determine Technical fit for Preferred Vendor(s) • For each “short-listed” vendor package measure their degree of fit to the technical requirements • Participate in determination of the preferred vendor Conduct Gap Analysis • Identify any major technology gaps identified for the preferred vendor • With support of the preferred vendor, develop a conceptual resolution including an associated high level cost estimate Develop Future State Application & Technology Architecture (Supporting Role) • Based on the information provided by the winning package vendor and the project team analysis performed in the prior steps, develop the future state application and technical infrastructure architectures including the options for hosting and management of the application and hardware. vs. utilizing a software as a service approach Identify Interfaces and Conversion Requirements • Based upon the future state applications architecture determine the key interfaces required to connect the new solutions to the legacy systems • Identify the need for data not currently captured to support the master data required by the new solution. Identify the sources as well as an approach for capturing and converting the new information Skills Must have • Ability to assess and define Applications architecture – software package environment • Experience in/ exposure to Software as a Service (SaaS) • Ability to evaluate Software package using technical criteria • Interview & Facilitate technology discussion to assess current state (mix of Packages, Mainframe, J2EE applications) • Software package implementation • PowerPoint • Fluent in Oral and Written communication Preferred/ Nice to have • Experience with Procurement software packages such as: *Ariba, Epicor, Emptoris, ePlus, Hubwoo, Ketera, Perfect Commerce, Zycus • Experience with these other procurement solutions will also be helpful: Iasta, Visual Xnet, Aprimo, CombineNet, Schwarz, Staples link, PMOS, ECM, Peoplesoft POWS , Mainframe * Duration 6 + months Rate : $OPEN Location : Chicago, IL Send resume at [email protected] Thanks, SEPCO GROUP -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ORACLE DWH DBA" group.
