*Position : Mainframe Developer / Programmer* *Location : BROOKLYN, NY* *Duration : 5+ months* Mainframe programmer with experience with the Back Office business to work on the PCWS projects. Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations. Responsible for working on large scale development project and for executing the specifications provided by the team lead of the project. Skills Hands on Programmer for IBM mainframe - 6+ years experience Software: COBOL, JCL, CICS, SQL & mainframe supporting tools DATABASE: DB2 & VSAM Helpful/ Plus skills: Changeman, GTB, Stored procedure Experience working in the Securities industry a plus. Specifically an understanding of Back Office systems and financial instruments a strong plus.
