*Storage and Backup Consultant*
- Should have a sound Knowledge on the concepts of Storage Area Network
(SAN)
- Knowledge on differences between NAS and SAN
- Experience of managing switches
- Experience on managing of Logical Units (LUN)
- Should be familiar with Business Copy (BC), Continuous access (CA),
Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) concepts
- Should Have experience in installing & configuring Backups using tape
libraries
- Should have experience in designing a complete backup solution for
customers along with hands on experience in backup solutions like Veritas
Netbackup, IBM Tivoli Storage manager, NetApps, HP Data protector or CA
Arcserve
- Knowledge on configuring zones
- Should have hands on experience with Fiber Channel (FC) technology
products
- Storage trouble shooting Experience
- Aware of i-SCSI concepts
- Ability to design system architecture along with detailed BOM using
business requirements
- Aware of major storage vendor product lines and differences between
different storage products available in the market.
Level 3 certification in any of the major storage product
streams such as HP, IBM or EMC
