*Position: Object-Oriented (OO) Applications Architect* *Level 61* *Contract-to- Hire * rate - $40/hr for the position. *BASIC FUNCTION:* Provides the highest level of technical expertise in the area of object-oriented (OO) technology for the Auto Club Group (ACG). Designs, develops and supports the object-oriented integration environment in order to support department and corporate business initiatives and strategies. Develops an understanding of ACG business strategy and competitive environment with respect to OO integration and works to implement processes and solutions to achieve ACG business/technology goals. Provides recommendations to management regarding design and system enhancements involving inter-application communications. Assists Security in the development of appropriate audit controls and procedures. Works with customers to understand business objects and define technology requirements. May provide leadership oversight to projects and mentoring of staff to ensure meeting department goals and objectives. Participated in the development of budget projections and monitors budget submissions to assist management in meeting department financial goals. *Preferred:* *ISD Technology Skills Assessment* *JAVA software development coursework [SUN SL275 / SL255 or equivalent]* *SUN certification [PROGRAMMER for J2EE PLATFORM or equivalent]* *SUN certification [WEB COMPONENT DEVELOPMENT or equivalent]* *SUN certification [DEVELOPER for J2EE PLATFORM or equivalent]* REQUIRED: Bachelor degree in Computer Science Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field/related technology certification.
