*Job description *
*1. Performance Engineer *
- 2+ years of experience in Diesel engine performance
- Excellent analysis capabilities required to analyze data in order to
optimize engine performance while maintaining emission compliance.
Responsible for selecting and optimizing engine hardware configuration. Have
to work in resolving manufacturing /performance issue and are responsible
for final documentation of engine performance.
- Software: Diesel engine cycle simulation
- Previous CATERPILLAR experience will be added advantage but not
mandatory.
- Location: Peoria, IL USA
*2. Valve Train Design Engineer*
- Minimum 3+ years of experience on Valve Trains design.
- Should have strong technical skills-ability and desire to become a
technical expert in valve train systems, should be able to drive new product
designs and development technologies (including cam and dynamic analysis
simulations). Understanding of material wear mechanism at high temperature
environment.
- Ability to apply physics and mathematics to understand and predict
valve train system behavior. Understanding of theory and practice of Finite
Element Analysis. The individual should be able to apply this knowledge in
the evaluation of valve component designs using Abacus or Pro-Mechanica
software
- Should be BS in Engineering (Mechanical), although MS will be
preferred.
- Strong Communication skills are required as he/she has to work
effectively with global counterparts – CAT employees, suppliers, dealers and
customers. Should be able to maintain day to day technical working
relationship with representatives of the CAT India Analysis group.
- Software: Pro/E, Pro-Mechanica/Abacus.
- Previous CATERPILLAR experience will be added advantage but not
mandatory.

*3. After-treatment Analyst *
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in engine combustion analysis and/or
engine control systems. Data analysis and engine map calibration. Develop
and support of combustion, intake and exhaust and after-treatement systems
for diesel engine.
- Should have ability to develop and optimization of engine performance
on new ratings, Engine simulation, responsible for analysis, development and
support of combustion. Performance iron selections and verifications.
- Should be BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous CATERPILLAR experience will be added advantage but not
mandatory.
- Location: Lafayette, IN USA
*4. Testing Engineer *
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in engine performance, Test cell
experience is must.
- Should be able to provide Data Analysis and Test support for Tier IVb
development. The test support may include but not limited to some Pro/E
design of fixtures; gas mixers; actual engine test support etc.
- Should be BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Should have advance knowledge in MS Excel and should be excellent in MS
office.
- Software: MS Office.
- Previous CATERPILLAR experience will be added advantage but not
mandatory.

*5. Engineering Process Educator *
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Engine design related background.
- Position is accountable for creation and delivery of training materials
in all aspects of Engineering processes.
- He/She must develop and uphold modeling and engineering standards and
teach best practices. Position will develop curricula for Engineering and
related staff to follow and will enable a “License to Engineer” mentality.
Key Engineering tools are Teamcenter Engineering, Pro/E, and JT
Visualization software. Position is responsible for development of new
methods and practices that continuously improve model and Engineering data
quality and availability for a multitude of engineering and non-engineering
customers.
- He/She will participate in Engineering efficiency improvement efforts
and collect voice of Engineering and Process Partner.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal relationship, accountability;
and teamwork characteristics required. Must have good organization skills
and be able to manage own workload. Assertive personality a strong plus.
- Nice to have: Prior teaching experience at college, junior college, or
high school.
- 4 year of Technical Degree Highly Desired & Minimum 2 year of Technical
Associates Certificate.
- Should be expert in Pro/E, Teamcenter, JT model visualization, Bill of
Materials management, use of power point and Adobe Acrobat.
- Product development expertise is must.
- Software: Pro/E, Teamcenter, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office.
- Previous CATERPILLAR experience will be added advantage but not
mandatory.
