As an SA, must be able to assess current environment and make SAN design recommendations, as well as plan how to go about implementing them. Experience down to SAN cabling validation, as well as troubleshooting and validating all SAN physical connectivity. Experience designing and implementing ISLs is required (of special interest is the ability to assess and design/implement ISL performance/bandwidth required). Experience designing AND implementing FCIP is required. Ability to interface with Network Organizations in order to provide input to Network Operations/Design, as required to implement SAN switch implementations and monitoring. Ability to create scripts for SAN switch monitoring and to exploit the statistics provided by FOS. Experience designing and implementing virtual fabrics is required.
