*Person Requirements:*

3 or more years of full software lifecycle development experience within the
financial services industry.

The role requires experience in pricing and risk management development as
well as a structured and organized approach to addressing complex analytical
tasks.

Track record of delivering trading and risk management systems across a
distributed framework providing intra-day and end-of-day risk and P&L.

Experience of large team development tools and processes (requirements
capture, design, version control, automated testing, etc)

Knowledge of Commodities trading.

Knowledge of Derivatives, particularly Exotics and Cross Asset Hybrids
trading.

Significant and relevant experience of delivering strategic risk solutions
to a derivatives business.

2 or more years of C++/C# experience in either client or server-side
development environments.

*Main Function:*
The Commodities Derivatives Technology group at Barclays Capital seeks a
talented Analytics developer to contribute to major reengineering
initiatives.
The developer will build analytics components as part of the analytics
platform.
The role requires experience in pricing and risk management development as
well as a structured and organized approach to addressing complex analytical
tasks.

*Department Overview:*
Commodities Derivatives Technology is a global team servicing the needs of
Barclays Capitals Commodities Derivatives business.
The technology team is located in London, New York and Singapore and
supports trading and risk management activities in a wide range of exotic
and hybrid derivative products across all commodity asset classes (including
Oil, Gas, Power, and Metals).

*Position Title:* FX Front Office Server-Side Java Developer-Consultant

*Work Location:* New York

*Project Duration:* 12+ months

*Skill Proficiency:* Senior



*Skills/ Experience required:*

Extremely strong java architecture, design, and coding skills,

with emphasis on multi-threading on a linux or other unix platform,

Soap/tcp/xml,

Data structures,

SQL(sybase/db2 preferred),

Strong preference for FX or other front office trading applications

C++ or C# is a plus if the candidate is already very strong in Java.



*Job Description:*

This position will be responsible for the architecture, design and coding of
components of a front office FX booking infrastructure with which to book
trades.

The infrastructure requires extremely low latency coupled with high
capacity/high throughput.

The position requires-

outstanding technical, organizational and communications skills,

ability to work with peers in different locations and timezones,

the ability to "take charge" and delivery quality results on time.
