The Brokerage Firm Capital Middleware team consists of Communication and Integration Middleware disciplines in London, New York and Singapore regions. This position consists of working within the Integration Middleware Team, delivering expert services on the data integration technologies using Informatica and Composite. The role covers all aspects of the service delivery including: Middleware consultancy Develop proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the product to internal customers, do performance tuning to ensure acceptable levels of application performance. Conduct reviews of Informatica code and provide constructive feedback to development teams. Project requirements analysisInterpretation and understanding of functional specifications. Good understanding of functionality and standard functions. Ability to assist designers with integration of IBM Websphere MQ and TIBCO EMS into technical designs. Unit/Systems Testing and DocumentationAssist in preparation of unit tests for Informatica projects and services. Execution of unit test cases and documentation of results. Providing support during QA and UAT test phases. Vendor ManagementWork directly with the vendor in those instances where resolution to development issues or bugs can*t be reached internally. Evaluate new products and manage releases internally. DR invocation/testingAssist with DR testing in post-development prior to application going live. *Main Duties* This position consists of providing Integration Middleware Engineering services to Brokerage Firm Capital with a focus on development with Data Integration technologies using Informatica and Composite. This position requires ability to manage a team, analyze project requirements and to perform development and implementation tasks using the shared Informatica and Composite farms. Additional responsibilities include technology and skills transfer within the team and throughout the development community and an ability to troubleshoot Data Integration and Federation related problems. *Primary technologies that require expert level proficiency: * * Informatica PowerCenter 8.x, batch and real-time * Informatica Data Quality, B2B Data Transformation, Data Explorer * Informatica Metadata * Linux/UNIX operating systems, including: command line operations, shell scripting, fault analysis, etc. * RDBMS and SQL, very comfortable with database theory, engineering and SQL and PL/SQL *Other Technologies include: * * Composite Integration Server * Microsoft SSIS * Java J2SE/J2EE, JDBC, Eclipse IDE, etc. * XML/XSLT/XQuery * Communication Middleware * IBM MQ, Tibco EMS *Technologies where proficiency is desired: * XML/XSD/XSLT Web Services (SOA) Well familiar with Linux, Windows and Solaris operating systems. Level of workable expertise with LDAP/AD implementations. Resource must have hands on experience in support of medium to high complexity Informatica shared farm deployments or similar technology. He or she should have good grasp of enterprise level technology concepts like fault-tolerance, DR and horizontal vs. vertical scalability. Resource has to be goal-oriented, ready and willing to learn new technologies and master them on the job. Ability to effectively communicate with his peers, clients and superiors is absolutely essential to his duties as is ability to build and maintain quality professional relationships within the Firm.
