Local candidates in Michigan are needed* *Job Description:* Architect, design, construct, maintain, and support Client’s commercial software products as well as back-office automation and support applications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: · Responsible for Client’s software application feature(s) · Design, document and author new application components and utilities of moderate to complex scope · Maintain and modify existing application code · Triage and correct problems with development, test and production systems · Assist with the review and estimation of effort and duration for features, change requests, or defects · Provide full-scale solutions starting from business requirements to the final application components while working in small feature teams for specific products · Perform all work in accordance with company’s quality programs, standards and procedures · Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: · 7-12 years experience as a software developer and designer · Proficiency in J2EE under JDK 1.4/1.5 and/or Java 6, including JSP and EJB · Strong knowledge of and experience with SQL, Struts and Hibernate required · Knowledge of and experience with Spring Framework, PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting preferred · Java or Web component developer certification a plus · Experience using UML standard design artifacts such as class models and sequence diagrams required · Experience using web services technologies also key (SOAP, XML messaging, WSDL, WS-SEC, etc.) · Experience with J2EE patterns, development best practices, and iterative methodologies (RUP, XP, FDD, Scrum, TDD, etc.) preferred · Able to work independently on routine assignments, such as maintaining and modifying existing application programs · Experience with presentation technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, DHTML and XSL/T essential · WebSphere 5.x or 6.x or 7 Application Server Experience desirable · Experience with WebSphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD), Eclipse and/or other Java and web development tools including CVS, Jprobe, TOAD, DBVisuzalizer/SQLDeveloper, MagicDraw · Experience troubleshooting and resolving application defects necessary · Experience with AJAX, JSTL, Jquery and/or Display Tag desirable · Exposure to MQSeries and/or MDB messaging desirable OTHER REQUIREMENTS: · B.S. in Computer Sciences or related field · Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills · Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision · Must have the willingness to take initiative · Must be detail-oriented and process focused · Must be a self-starter · Must be articulate and have excellent written and oral communication skills · Must be results-driven and willing to apply additional effort when required to meet commitments · Must be effective in prioritizing tasks and responsibilities · Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment with competing demands · Experience in performance tuning J2EE applications a plus · Automotive, auto finance or mortgage / banking experience a plus *If you are interested, I would request you to send me your updated resume with the following details please**:* 1.
