*REQUIREMENTS: (Specific knowledge, skills, education and abilities): *

   - Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
   - Excellent technical, communication, presentation and documentation
   skills
   - 5-10 years of application development (.Net, ASP, C, C++, C#, DB2,
   Visual Basic, SQL Server & Windows Server )
   - Minimum 5 years of Supervisory experience

*SUMMARY:*

This position acts as the primary contact for development related
questions/concerns on upcoming projects. He/She will participate and oversee
the design, programming, testing and implementation of software solutions to
meet the business needs. This position helps drive the operational goals and
profitability of Vertis Communications by effectively utilizing and
prioritizing resources to meet or exceed internal and external customer’s
expectations. The incumbent will lead a small Development Staff and/or
Consultants, providing guidance for day to day support

*RESPONSIBILITIES:*

   - Utilize customer business plans to develop and implement application
   solutions or system architecture to meet those requirements.
   - Design, program, test and implement new features as required, to
   improve application efficiencies and functionality.
   - Work with management to identify methods to reduce turnaround time.
   - Search for new software tools to improve workflow.
   - Provide direct database support to internal and external customers.
   - Provide daily support and administration of assigned projects and
   systems.
   - Work with the Systems Engineer to maintain cohesive data migration and
   backup schemes.
   - Performs specialized reporting functions for internal and external
   customers.
   - Seeks opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
   - Ensures projects are delivered on time and within budget.
   - Demonstrates flexibility determined by project needs.
   - Develops contingency plans when projects go off schedule.
   - Participates in company sponsored training and development programs.
   - Manages, motivates and mentors staff of varying skill levels.
   - Assigns work to staff, based on complexity, workload and strategic
   planning.
   - Keeps the I.T. Manager apprised of project status, especially projects
   in potential jeopardy.Provide on-site and off-site Production support.
   - Takes on ancillary projects, as assigned by the IT Manager.
   - Is driven and has a sense of urgency to resolve production issues.
   - Is a team player who embraces new ideas and technologies
   - Has a “What Ever It Takes” attitude and puts in the effort and time to
   accomplish tasks
