Skill - SAP Enterprise Portal Developer Duration * 6+ Months Location * West Palm Beach, FL Client * Public Sector *Scope of Services and Job Requirements* 1. *Job Description and Scope* The SAP Enterprise Portal Developer*s primary responsibility for this role is the day-to-day support of the South Florida Water Management District*s (the District) SAP Enterprise Portal applications. This support comprises development and maintenance of SAP Employee Self-Services (ESS 603 with SAP ECC 6.04), District developed Guided Procedures, SAP BI 7.01 portal functions, and the maintenance of portal roles and content in a Federated Portal environment. These tasks require that the contractor also participates in requirements gathering and documentation for the modification of existing applications and the development of new applications. The contractor will collaborate with the District*s Basis Administration staff in the creation and maintenance of Netweaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI) development tracks, and advise in the configuration of the NWDI components and landscape. The SAP Enterprise Portal Developer will work with the District technical staff to ensure that the designs are developed with proper methodologies and techniques, and assist in the troubleshooting of technical portal issues. The contractor will mentor District staff and be responsible for knowledge transfer to them. Contracted services will include participation in all portal testing (unit, integration and user-acceptance testing). *The primary job responsibilities entail*: Program solutions (Portal) and modifications based upon functional requirements and consultation with District staff. Create documentation for all designs and technical specifications. Create and maintain a catalog of all issues related to the development effort. Participate in user functional and technical specification development. Prepare unit test plans and data, and perform unit/program testing. Follow the District*s development procedures and standards. Maintain the District*s SAP ESS configuration in the SAP Enterprise Portal. Maintain the District*s guided procedures in the SAP Enterprise Portal. Maintain portal roles and content in the District*s Federated Portal network. Perform all development and maintenance within SAP NWDI tracks, and use NWDI functions to promote development objects through the District*s portal landscape. Resolve portal development, configuration, and functional issues in a hands-on manner. The SAP Enterprise Portal Developer will be required to test and maintain SAP standard portal content as well as develop custom objects as used in the District*s ECC, BI, and Federated Portal Network. The contractor will be required to code and/or configure, and test software that meets the design specifications; and maintain and repair applications to keep them performing in accordance with technical and functional specifications. *Additional responsibilities include*: Provide post-implementation support for current and ongoing projects Handle calls from end users Interface between SAP and end users Solve application problems that cannot be handled by the Help Desk Examine problems to determine whether they are caused by a software defect Test, modify, and document the system configuration Participate in or facilitate business process definition and modeling Configure the software to replicate the required business processes Facilitate knowledge transfer to other technical staff Develop business process documentation Ensure that business processes are effectively mapped in the software configuration Performing Production activities as needed The SAP Enterprise Portal Developer contractor will not be assigned any duties outside of this scope of work without written consent of both the District and the contractor*s firm. 2. Specific Deliverables The deliverables for this position include the following: Documentation for all designs and technical specifications, Documentation of all issues related to process design and implementation in the SAP EP area. 3. Configured, developed and tested SAP EP functionality as required for production support 4. Weekly timesheets with attached status reports that list and describe weekly accomplishments, list of upcoming tasks, plus the status of any deliverables. By signing the weekly timesheets, the District*s SAP Solutions Center (SSC) director accepts and agrees with the week*s work effort and deliverables. In case of a dispute, the SSC director will inform the contractor*s firm in writing, within 2 days of receiving the timesheet, of the reason for rejecting the timesheet. One week after the timesheet is presented, if the District does not accept or reject the timesheet it will be considered accepted. 3. *Job Qualifications* *The contractor must possess the following skills and abilities*: Must have experience developing ESS/MSS objects for SAP Enterprise Portal 7.01 Must have experience creating all type so SAP EP content, including roles, iViews, worksets, pages, layouts and folder for all types of EP applications. Must have JAVA, html, and xml programming skills.
