Hi *Folks,* Hope You are doing well, We have an immediate requirement for *“PowerBuilder Developer”* * * *Location : Ann Arbor-MI* *Duration : 6-9 Months* *Note**: Face to face interview after an initial telephonic round. * *Position Description: * ** POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position will maintain the enterprise software applications that support the company’s business needs. The PowerBuilder Application Developer must have a 5+ years of experience in developing PowerBuilder applications using a SQL Server database in a Microsoft Windows client/server environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Code developing, debugging, and testing. 2. Communicate effectively with internal IT units and end users. 3. Perform developer mentoring and code reviews as needed. 4. Gather and analyze functional requirements. 5. Monitor to ensure consistent code quality and productivity. 6. Work towards timely delivery of product and updates. 7. Work with peers to improve the development and delivery process. 8. Keep abreast of current technology and software development trends and practices. REQUIRED QUALIFICATONS: 1. 5+ years experience developing application software in the in the PowerBuilder platform (up through v11.5) for the Microsoft windows environment. 2. Solid knowledge of SQL 2005+ development including T-SQL queries, triggers, and stored procedures. 3. Excellent grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle with a successful track record of delivering high quality software in a timely manner. 4. Knowledge of software engineering industry standards, best practices, productivity measurements and development tools. 5. Practicing knowledge of Agile development processes. 6. Experience using sound source control methodologies and tools. 7. Knowledge of the .NET/C# platform a plus. 8. Experience in the Airline industry a plus. 9. Demonstrate honesty, integrity and respect for others, a willingness to be flexible and open to change. 10. Be willing and able to interface with users on a laymen level. 11.
