Job Description : Summary Individual responsible for Configuration Management Tools development in support of Software Builds, Source Control, Change Control, and Application Deployments. The Configuration Management Tool Developer must be able to work with and across all functional application teams. Must possess an in depth understanding of current development processes and application dependencies and be skilled in all phases of the software development lifecycle. This individual should be able to effectively communicate with his or her peers, managers and clients. Duties â—� Quickly acquire a thorough understanding of the current software development process, release management process, change control process, application components, database and infrastructure. â—� Update, enhance, improve and maintain current “Release Managementâ€� Portal. â—� Partner with Quality and Process Management architects to develop, maintain and improve process automation, monitoring and reporting tools. â—� Partner with peer developers to maintain and improve the overall performance, reliability, scalability, supportability of the application and infrastructure. â—� Analyze and provide problem resolution on technical issues. Identify potential improvements to increase the reliability, availability, supportability and performance of the applications and infrastructure. Interface with developers, test users; communicate with technical, management, and external teams to identify and resolve problems. Technical Requirements Highly Desired Desired • Experience in developing Web-based GUI for automation tools for software build and deployment process management • Deep knowledge of Java, BEA WebLogic, Oracle databases, PL/SQL, Hibernate, JSP, HTML, JavaScript. • J2EE software build and deployment, application development and tuning, with an emphasis on Web Interface improvement. • Understading of change management procedures and tools, such as ClearCase UCM, ClearQuest, RequisitePro, Remedy. • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) • Experience with techniques in problem identification, documentation, resolution, and testing • Script Programming (UNIX Shell, Perl, Python, etc), • Understanding of life cycle of application development. • Strong problem solving and analytic skills. • Strong technical foundation and proven track record of delivering high quality work. Educational Requirements â—� Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
