Job Description :*
This position is with our functional group in IT that currently supports the
Forecasting and Planning groups here at Constellation. The different
software that is currently used and supported are BPC (encompasses several
applications such as Shared Services, Cashflows and consolidated forecasts),
Hyperion Planning (houses corporate OPEX planning using standard labor
rates), and Hyperion Strategic Finance (used for long term forecasting).
The resource would need to help and maintain these environments on a daily
basis by maintaining the instances and researching issues. Problem solving
skills are important for this role. It would be helpful if the resource
understood BPC logic to some extent and knew how to write calc scripts in
Hyperion Planning as well as how to develop reports in each software. Since
this is a functional role we are looking for someone who has a solid grasp
of financial statements and processes. Knowledge of Oracle Financials and
PeopleSoft is a plus. The person would need to maintain dimensions for BPC
and Hyperion Planning and help users with reporting. The person in this
support role would need to have good problem solving skills because when
issues arise in the data the person in this role would need to help research
and identify the root cause of data discrepancies or issues with the
software.
