Ø End User support and 3rd level troubleshooting of permission, resource
availability, authentication, printing, remote access, logon scripts and
anything affecting end user functionality
Ø Support of the Novell Directory Services and operating system and
hardware support for over 14,000 user environment
Ø Support of the Windows operating system and hardware support for over
8,000 Windows servers locally installed, servers in other data centers and
servers in remote offices
Ø Support for Novell White Pages
Ø Support of printer queues
Ø Managing the upgrade of servers, software, and maintaining backup and
recovery procedures
Ø Monitoring servers for hardware issues, diagnosis of hardware issues and
coordination of repairs with a centralized help desk
Ø Troubleshooting of OS issues
Ø Optimizing server and application performance, capacity planning analysis
on hardware and storage system
Ø Requirement for overlapping shift work Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 7
PM, and possibly Weekends from 7 AM to 3 PM
Ø On Call availability 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to address major
hardware problems and operating system problems
