Location:* Oakland, CA, *Duration:* 2 Months plus ** Works with Technical Lead; Assists with data load related architecture and technical design; Develops ETL mappings; Development and maintenance of database systems to extract, cleanse, transform, load and maintain data; Ensures compliance with industry best practices; Performs code review; Coordinates and develops process automation/job scheduling; Perform testing, code review; Performs defect analysis. * ETL Developer with Ab Initio Experience* Description: Collaborate, design and develop ETL solutions, prioritize and manage multiple analytical/data projects simultaneously and direct/lead the work of Business Intelligence Consultants and Business Intelligence Analytics Leads. Essential Functions: • Analyze requirements and provide work effort estimate. • Analyze functional requirements, mapping documents, assist in problem solving and trouble shooting. • Designing, coding, testing, modifying, debugging, documenting and implementation of Ab Initio Graphs. • Assist in technical specifications and other deliverable documents. • Develop test cases and plans to complete the unit testing. Support System testing. • Work with multiple teams and report to technical leads. • Production support and maintenance of applications. • Performance tuning of Ab Initio graphs, processes and load routines. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study. • 4 years of experience working with large scale data warehouse applications as a Programmer/Analyst or Lead Programmer/Analyst. • 4 years of experience with Ab Initio tool set. • 4 years Strong Unix and Shell Scripting experience is must. • 4 years experience with Data Warehouse/ETL design and development methodologies. • 4 years experience in application development and interface design is essential. • 4 years experience using databases such as ORACLE and Teradata • 4 years experience interpreting the transformation rules and develop the software components to support the same.
