Looking for a solid Windows system administrator. UNIX is only moderately
important.
****Solid Windows Server 2003/2008, Citrix 4.x and above, and
virtualization (either hyper-V or VMWare) skills****
The candidate will perform general support to all aspect of the Microsoft
Windows Server operating system. Able to write change implementation plans
and perform implementation work for approved changes in the Windows
environment. This type of work includes applying security patches and hot
fixes. Installing, configuring or reconfiguring applications. Creating user
accounts or groups. Configuring security policies and settings. Installing
and de-installing systems. Configuring backup policies and groups. Restoring
systems, files or databases from tape. Must have excellent communication
skills and be able to describe technical details to nontechnical
individuals. Responsibilities will include: • Analyzing servers, hardware,
software, and operating systems • Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving
issues • Performing backups, archives, and recoveries • Working with vendors
for warranty issues • Creating/maintaining documentation
