Job Description:*
a. Develop custom Web Parts including any supporting application development
using MS Visual Studio.Net 2005/2008.
b. Create Windows SharePoint MOSS 2007 sites and sub-sites on MDE’s
SharePoint Server Farm.
c. Customize Internet portal master pages per DoIT’s branding requirements.
d. Provide support for implementation of web content migration scripts to
load missing or deleted content.
e. Provide site navigation and website architecture support to improve site
usability.
f. Provide web application development support.
g. Provide Master Pages, Page Layouts, and SharePoint template library
maintenance.
h. Provide detailed documentation of changes.
i. Provide SharePoint knowledge transfer to OIMT technical support
personnel.
Experience:
General Experience: Must have five (5) years of web development experience
using current Web development and graphic tools, as well as, Web Server and
database administration, and at least 2 years of experience developing
custom SharePoint applications.
Specialized Experience: At least three (3) years of experience designing,
developing and deploying Web sites and/or Web applications, including
product selection, configuration, installation, maintenance,and site
specific Web development languages and relational databases. Must have
experience with developing on SharePoint 2007 and/or 2010. Google Search
Appliance and WorldSpace experience preferred.
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in
Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other
related scientific or technical discipline or three (3) years of equivalent
experience in a related field. A Master’s Degree in one of the above
disciplines equals one year specialized and two years general experience.
