Data Integrity research and assistance with Data Modeling and Cognos Report requirements research. Data Management Insures the integrity of research project data, possibly including data extraction, processing, storage, manipulation, and analysis. Is responsible for database design, administration, security, and maintenance. Accurately codes variables from original data and completes statistical analyses as needed. Shares knowledge of data coding and analysis techniques with other staff. This position will be required to interact with data modelers and Business intelligence resources to help facilitate definitions, user requirements and the need for data attributes. Research, Design and Statistical Analyses Participates in ongoing decisions regarding study design, data collection, data analysis, and methodology. Analyzes data with basic statistical methods, interprets results, and provides written summaries of data analyses. Presents and assesses alternative statistical Acting as a business analyst for IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. *Education/Experience* o Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred. o 5-7 years experience required Responsibility level o Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor *Skills* o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills (Required) o Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required) o Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required) o Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models (Required) o Knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc (Required) Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: o Gather requirements from business units and translate those to Data Modelers and developers o Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs o Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation o Interview or survey workers, observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed o Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility so information can be shared o Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.
