Job Description for Datacenter Operations for HRB:
* Point person in day to day datacenter operations monitoring
hardware, network, applications and databases in a multi- tiered
environment.
* Availability 24X7X365
* Escalates issues to various vendors such as Verizon and EMC and
coordinate resolution for hardware and software problems.
* Quickly identify problems reported on monitoring tools.
* Supporting storage solutions, specifically in a SAN environment and
enterprise level backup solutions.
* Maintain tape distribution logs for offsite storage and restores.
* Scheduling backups on AS400 systems and monitoring job queues.
* Support Incident Management escalations and perform within SLA.
* Mostly, ability to make decisions that ensure quick resolution of
events and provide recommendations and expertise to enhance system
performance and availability.
