Please reply back to [email protected] along with the resume, contact details and rate expecting. *NEED 2 PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES FROM THEIR PROJECTS* Role: Crystal Reports/ Business Objects with Financial background Location: Bear Stearns, NY Duration: 6 months Skills: Crystal Reports/ Business Objects with Financial background *Description:* We are seeking a mid to senior level consultant with a strong background in Crystal Reports and Business Objects XIR3 Web Intelligence Universe design, who will work in a team that supports the global Pension Advisory Group (PAG), which is part of the Investment Bank. This candidate will work closely with front and middle office teams to understand reporting requirements and implement those leveraging Business Objects. The reporting tool may be Crystal Reports or WEB Intelligence. The technology team plans, develops and supports a relatively new Reporting Framework as well as a suite of desktop tools. The Reporting framework is in Crystal Report / Business Objects. Responsibilities: The work required of the Reporting Developer is process and data intensive. Excellent knowledge of processes, data schema and databases are required; as is experience with Crystal Reports and Business Objects. We leverage Crystal Reports 2008 and Business Objects XIR3 and take advantage of the Publication features of BO. *Responsibilities include: * Meeting with business users and technology subject-matter experts to discuss requirements. Developing new reports and enhancing existing reports. Making changes in the Business Objects Universe based on schema and report requirements. Organizing work and meetings to accomplish development tasks. Prioritization of tasks and providing status to project manager. The candidate will also be required to formulate business solutions for users, clearly explain process / approach, and quickly resolve issues to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate has excellent problem solving skills, is interested in working within a team structure, has a positive attitude, and thrives in a dynamic business and technical environment that values change. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with front office and technology team members. Candidate should be able to write clear and concise documentation. Typical documentation would be application requirements, specification and testing documents. Familiarity with financial instruments and financial products is not essential; however some basic familiarity with corporate balance sheet concepts (e.g., Asset and liabilities) and generalized asset classes will be useful. *Required Skills * Excellent business knowledge Primary skill: Excellent knowledge of complex Crystal Reports development (Crystal Reports 2008) Secondary skill: Working knowledge of Business Objects XIR3 Web Intelligence Universe Design Working knowledge of webi reports Strong / Clear Communication skills Excellent technical writing skills and clear exposition. Should be able to develop and maintain technical documentation like Universe design documentation etc.. Excellent skills with Office suite: Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Sybase and/or Oracle data analysis and design, strong SQL skills Exposure to Report Server, Job Server, Scheduler etc.. Desired Skills Experience in the financial services industry building and supporting applications. Knowledge of financial instruments (see above). Experience of data analysis tools such as Erwin, DBArtisan.
