*Position Title: ELT Administrator* * *
*Location: St. Louis, Missouri * * * *Duration: 13 + Months* The successful candidate will maintain enterprise-level Java/Oracle applications using Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle 3.1) and Informatica PowerCenter ETL tools. The candidate will work as part of a team comprised of a project manager, business analysts, and other members of the technical staff to use OOAD techniques to develop multi-tier applications to support sequencing and analysis efforts. *Specific responsibilities will include: * * * · *Design and architect* ETL solutions as part of a cross-functional team. · Create automated ETL regression tests as part of the development process. · Work with Scientific Business Analysts to understand requirements. · Implement transformation rules, and develop ETL code between systems in conjunction with other team members. · *Focus on ETL design, development, and performance tuning*. · Provide level-3 production support for data warehouse jobs on a rotational basis. · Responsible for ensuring integration with the data warehouse. * * *Required Skills*: * * · *Minimum requirements include at least 5 years of full time *US experience* with ETL tools and processes in a scientific or technical environment.* · *Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter for ETL development, Informatica PowerCenter performance tuning and optimization, data profiling, data quality and change data capture (CDC).* · Strong *database query and performance tuning abilities.* · Most *possess advanced SQL programming skills using Oracle.* · *Minimum 5+ years experience with Oracle * · *3+ years experience using SQL.* · *EXCELLENT communication skills* *DESIRED Skills:* · Experience with database modeling and design. · Experience with Object-Oriented methodologies, and Test First Development. · Agile Programming. · Experience using Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle) Open Source tool. · Working knowledge of designing and implementing Data Marts and Operational Data store (ODS) in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). · Understanding of Informatica PowerCenter architecture, Informatica PowerCenter Administration and repository maintenance is a plus. · General knowledge of Business Intelligence and reporting strategies is a plus.
