Duration: Long term – likely 1+ yrs* *· Rate: Open, depending on experience * · Client is looking for someone who understands the business and how to deal with business users and solve business problems using the technology platform in this case – Cognos. · Experience in Retail industry is a great plus, Food retail is even better; Experience with POS (Point of Sale) and Cognos for reporting integration is a big plus. · Cognos Report/Front End Developer for Reporting configurations, drill downs, etc. · Consultant that understands both technically and functionally how to Cognos and SQL work and implement reports as per business requirements. Consultant must be able to work independently · The consultant is expected to lead the work on his own with the customer.. · It is recommended someone with about 50% backend and 50% front end experience – someone with a very strong mix.
