*Requisition: *Teradata Analyst/Developer
*Requisition Summary:*
Senior contractor position who can be *self-directed* and play a *lead
role*in the following activities:
- Primary responsibility will be expertise in the design, construction
and performance tuning of Teradata applications and associated processing.
This will include evaluating application design options, configuring
application tables and data structures and design for the optimization of
both batch and reporting performance. Specific areas of Teradata data
warehousing expertise to include:
- BTEQ, Teradata Administrator and Teradata Manager
- FASTEXPORT, FASTLOAD and MULTILOAD
- Data Modeling and SQL Assistant
- Unix Scripting
- Performance Monitoring Tools
- Teradata Master Data Management (MDM)
- Meet with business users and other IS personnel to obtain business
requirements for Teradata based reporting and analytic capabilities.
- Work with business users and other IS personnel to design and obtain
agreement on solutions to Teradata enhancements.
- Support and enhance Teradata based applications
- Performance tuning through complex SQL development.
- Work on projects across Marketing and Finance
- Knowledge of UNIX processing and commands.

*Summary of major duties:***
1.
80%
· Perform lead analyst and development role on the design and
configuration of Teradata applications
2.
20%
· Support and enhance reporting and application performance via SQL
and table optimization. Manage interfaces into Teradata from SAP ECC and BW
data sources
*Experience Requirements:*
· 4-7 years of Teradata ETL Development experience
· 3-5 years of SAP Finance/ BW experience
· 5-10 years of Marketing and Finance applications
*Must haves:*
· *Analyst capability* – specifically:
o Meet with technical and business representatives to develop
requirements.
o Craft and design solutions to meet Teradata application requirements.
Experience with planning, architecture, and design of Teradata data
warehousing and SQL optimization.
o Develop and execute quality test and support plans.
· *Strong communication skills* with both Business and
technical representatives.
· *SAP experience* familiarity with SAP and BI applications.
· *Teradata Certified SQL Specialist – *Certification is a
plus.
