*Location: NYC (Need Local or Nearby Consultants) * *Duration: 24mpnths * * * *Required: * Demonstrated knowledge of coding and basic design sensitivity Demonstrated knowledge of relational database schema design, SQL and usage working within a data warehouse project 5+ years experience developing test plans, cases and test data for manual and automated test projects Demonstrated track record improving an organizations data quality through the appropriate choice of error detection, process control and improvement, or process design strategies Familiarity with statistical packages and analysis techniques Experience defining and reporting on metrics measuring data quality improvement initiatives Experience conducting data quality training and consulting services to others in the organization * * *Preferred: * ** *Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010 to track test project assets * *Experience using open source test tools such as Selenium * *Experience testing in a fortune 500 environment*** *RESPONSIBILITIES * Conducts manual and automated functional, security, and performance testing. Conducts analysis of requirements and specifications necessary to create test plans, cases and scripts Authors high level data quality test documentation including flows within the application to demonstrate test approach and proposed paths through the system. Interacts with members of the project, QA and development teams to ensure that test requirements are clearly defined, documented, agreed to and prioritized Contributes to the preparation of test data, writes and executes SQL and other scripts to verify data accuracy Maintains test cases and test execution status in Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010 Designs, builds and uses automated tools to improve the test effort and operational efficiency Acts as Go To person for troubleshooting and clarifying test issues as they arise in test areas assigned Collaborates broadly with members of the development and infrastructure teams to efficiently isolate and resolve issues that block or impede the test effort Trains others as needed on data quality testing approach, scripts, and findings. Conducts knowledge transfer regularly to project stakeholders and others as requested.
