*Job Title: Security Architect/Engineer
Location: Columbus Ohio
Duration: 12+ months contract with extensions*

Qualified candidates must have experience designing and/or architecting
end-to-end secure solutions for one or more of the following:
Network-centric systems, secure wireless mesh networking and embedded
systems, large IT systems and internet security.  CISSP or other security
certification is preferred.  Applicants should possess their Bachelors
Degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Systems Engineering or a related
field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work
experience. Typically possesses three or more years of experience in
Information Technology security, including communications and network
security, performing analysis and providing recommendations. Interest or
participation in regulatory or national organizations such as NIST, NERC,
DOE, ISO, etc., as collaboration with these agencies is needed for policies
& standards, data security, and privacy. We are looking for individuals with
a demonstrated knowledge of security standards and testing tools and methods
(i.e. NIST800-53, PKI)

Typical responsibilities will include:
• Performing security analysis and design for both power grid research and
related project purposes;
• Conducting and evaluating security scanning and penetration tests on power
grid related devices and systems to determine if the client is exposed to
the vulnerabilities;developing threat analysis and vulnerability analysis
documentation for a particular solution;
• Surveying industry security research to determine areas of interest for
the client’s design of secure solutions;
• Working with both business and IT divisions to ensure the client’s secure
power grid solutions can effectively evolve;
• As a part of the IT security team, understand client security policies and
standards, cyber-security frameworks and apply that to security analysis;
• Ensuring security engineering methods are aligned with IT Security
methodologies; participating in risk analysis of emerging technology
adoption;
• Participate in all stages of the SDLC process; includes business process
analysis, technology assessments & selections, requirements documentation &
reviews, system and architecture designs, regulatory and legislative
compliance, etc.
• Working with architects, engineers and project team members to ensure
testing methods and technologies are consistent with the security
architecture and requirements; ensure security test scripts and
vulnerability analyses are complete and reflect requirements necessary to
deploy the new capability;
• Attending meetings, participating in activities and developing
relationships with other architects and engineers working in the Security
and power grid domains; and
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as requested.
