*Location: Jacksonville, FL* *Duration: 6 Months with Possible extension* *Rate Cap: $50 Per Hour All Inclusive* * * *Developer/Performance Tester* * * Candidates should have experience both as a Developer and in Performance Testing. *Job Description* Job duties include but are not limited to the following: *Responsible for the detail design documentation, development, and execution of performance testing on internally developed applications and externally purchased software products *Write code for performance designs that span platforms *Estimate project timelines and resources required to complete programming projects * Responsible for taking root cause issues identified by the security architecture team and external bodies and matching these to appropriate defense or risk management technologies within the test environments * Performs Server configuration reviews, firewall and router configuration reviews, penetration assessment, network security, web application security reviews, security architecture and design reviews in test environments. * The tester will be asked to work a wide range of performance test opportunities across multiple factories. The candidate will work on a single or multiple projects. The Test Capability requires a fully flexible individual in both their approach to work and its execution. * Responsible for developing test automation scripts and also responsible for creating tools using the .NET framework. Individual should be well versed in *webservice testing architecture* and tools. Responsibilities include designing, developing and implementing software tools for testing and development. Individuals will also provide guidance to and review the work of other team members as well as investigating ways to potentially improve processes existing today and implement improvements. Successful candidates need to have proven performance testing experience, security testing, functional automation and automation testing Mobile application. There must be a demonstration of a full and grounded understanding of performance testing approaches, methods and technologies. Candidates must have experience of defect management processes, and understanding of best practices in testing and the ability to suggest ways forward following outcomes of performance testing. * Candidates must also possess excellent customer facing skills. *Job Requirements:* *6 or more years of related work experience *1 or more years of experience in a technical lead role *Knowledge of RUP or Agile System Development Life Cycle, product development methodologies, database methodologies and system integration *Experience with Oracle and Unix operating systems *Knowledge of coding design and documentation protocol as well as unit testing, change management and release procedures *Experience programming using J2EE, MQ Series, Apache Struts, Hibernate, AJAX, Unix Shell Scripting HTML, JavaScript and XML technologies *Experience using SQL *Experience using RAD debugging tools *Experience using Clear Case versioning tools *PC Skills *Business Specific Criteria (Preferred):* *8 or more years of related work experience *2-3 or more years of experience with Websphere Application Server *Experience with Websphere Portal Server is a plus *Experience with diagnostic tools - HP Business Availability Center, IBM Monitoring and Diagnostic Tool and other related tools *Experience comprehending Websphere core files and heap dumps *Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle, product development methodologies, database methodologies and system integration *Knowledge of coding design and documentation protocol as well as unit testing, change management and release procedures *Experience with Unix or NT operating systems *Experience using SQL or similar query language for Oracle, DB2 or UDB *Experience working with Use cases, Object Oriented Analysis, Design models and Design patterns ** * Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
