Job Description:
This position's primary responsibility will be to manage, maintain and
support in-house web applications. Additional responsibilities include
gathering requirements, helping design new Web applications and improving
existing ones, preparing requirements & design documents, executing system
testing, and supporting production implementation of new and/or modified
systems. Furthermore, the person occupying this position will be responsible
for delivering assignments according to the project plan (schedule) and
communicating effectively with technical leads and managers regarding the
status of their assignments.
.At least 10 years experience in ALL of the following:
Net Framework
Web application development using ASP.NET /VB.Net
Web application development using ASP/VBScript
HTML
JavaScript
SQL Server 2000/2005/2008
XML
Web Services (including SOAP protocol)
Writing complex SQL statements including inner/outer/self joins, stored
procedures, cursors, user-defined functions and views.
Translating business or functional requirements into technical
specifications.
Windows NT/2000/2003/XP operating systems and NTFS security.
Conduct structured design sessions and/or walk-through design sessions with
customer/internal IT teams. Convert requirements into design specifications.
Provide production support for Maintenance applications
Develop ad-hoc processes to create data extracts for customers/internal IT
teams.
Position:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or other related discipline is
required
. 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and testing
applications. (System Development Life Cycle experience and knowledge)
. Ability to handle multiple tasks and solve complex problems is required
. Ability to visualize and design applications across platform is
required
. Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and
practices is required
. Good written and verbal communication skills is required
. Strong technical documentation skills is required
. Ability to create and modify programs with or without written program
specifications, consistent with department procedures, philosophies, and
standards is required.
. Experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is
required.
. Applicant must be highly self motivated and directed and must have
proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
. Technical project management experience is a plus
