Strong analytical, verbal & written communication skills. Interface with customer Application & DB architects, DBA's & SA's 2. Experience with AIX, filesystems, raw devices, scripting, implementation of DB's shared virtual environments etc. 3. Experience with Sybase ASE design/performance and tuning is essential. 4. Experience with Sybase IQ is a plus. Architecture, design, configuration of simplex & multiplex (multi-node) IQ DWHs 5. Experience with Sybase ASE & IQ - installation, configuration, migrations & lifecycle management 6. Experience in Sybase ASE & IQ database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, backup & recovery, monitoring, and database and query tuning 7. Sybase engines, partitioning, patching, cloning experience, data warehouse & interface to BI tools preferred 8. Sybase ASE & IQ administration, problem determination, resolution, monitoring, performance & tuning 9.
