Experience with Solaris/Linux Java server-side programming (including but not limited to: Spring, template languages, Servlets, JDBC) Scripting languages: JavaScript, Perl Modern browser DOM/JavaScript programming (AJAX, frameworks like MochiKit or jQuery) Web development and markup languages (HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, etc.) User interface design Java web containers Database driven web systems Web services development (non-WS approaches like REST encouraged) Client-server and distributed architectures (including MVC) Object oriented analysis and design techniques (including whiteboard UML) Install program design and implementation Database design and implementation(including SQL) Knowledge of Internet protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, etc.) Familiarity with formal, agile, or rapid software development processes and methodologies strongly preferred.
