*Duties:*

*The Business Analyst candidate will represent a Procurement Management Team
(PMT) who will partner with COTS Implementation Team for the installation
and deployment of Client/Server Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) product
called MAXIMO from IBM.  This is an asset and service management solution..
The ideal candidate will have strong consultative skills and relevant
experience with application replacement initiatives of legacy systems in
Mainframe, .NET or Windows Server environment. Analyst will provide support
on how to utilize feature sets of applications, how applications can be
utilized to solve business problems including integration with other
applications and ensure full advantage of feature sets. The position
requires an individual to use advanced skills in consulting and
troubleshooting methodology, server infrastructure concepts, documentation
standards, organization and time management.*



*DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*:

1.      Gather and document detailed business requirements in a traceable,
testable and verifiable format;

2.      Develop and apply Use Cases to fully ascertain system change
functionality;

3.      Guide the business in making appropriate decisions to achieve a
positive impact to the technology solution;

4.      Develop and execute system test plans;

5.      Define workflow plans for all assigned projects;

6.      Analyze and document system defects;

7.      Analyze and document business processes/ functionality;

8.      Map business processes and help define QA testing criteria with the
Quality Assurance team;

9.      Assist with making appropriate business decisions that carry the
project to completion, elevating concerns to management as necessary when
they arise;

10.  Work closely with IT Managers as involved with the project;

11.  Work closely with business users to identify business rules for
inclusion in functional specifications to support the Development process
and ensure business expectations are fully met;

12.  Work closely with the IT PMO manager to prioritize and coordinate
project tasks and assess time sensitive constraints that may impact
development;

13.  Alert the IT PMO manager of Customer Support Requests, including scope
creep, that may impact a project currently in the development or deployment
process;

14.  Work as the primary liaison between the business and the development
teams throughout the entire project lifecycle;

15.  Gather detailed business requirements;

16.  Develop project documentation as required by the SDLC, including:
statement of work, detailed business requirements, use cases, functional
specifications, test plans and implementation strategies.

17.  Research best practices for business analysis and suggest improvement
opportunities for the team;

18.  Provide mentoring to other ‘on team’ business analysts;

19.  Fulfill general administrative and reporting activities, as assigned
and required by BA supervisor.



QUALIFICATIONS

*Preferred Qualifications: *

·        *Minimum of 5 -8 years BA experience;*

·        *Active member if the IIBA is desirable;*

·         Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) a high benefit;

·         Experience in Maximo(IBM) Product Highly Desirable

·         Knowledge of Business Requirements modeling techniques including
Unified Modeling Language (UML) service modeling and services operations
analysis;

·         Knowledge of integrated business process modeling for operations
procedures, including process improvements and efficiencies;

·         Ability to multi-task and perform business analysis tasks on
multiple projects.

·         Extensive experience with formal software development life cycle
(SDLC) methodologies;

·         Ability to work with the business to resolve project related
issues;

·         Ability to quickly learn new business processes and the
applications that support them.

·         Knowledge of BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) or
Business Process Modeling Language;

·         Knowledge with Use Cases as a form of analysis and capturing
application design/specifications;

·         Experience with procurement and implementation of commercial off
the shelf (COTS) software applications.

·         Experience of retrofitting traditional applications to an SOA
environment;

·        *Ability to accurately document detailed, business & functional
requirements in a narrative and traceable matrix format;*

·        *Strong communication skills (written and verbal);*

·        *Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;*

·        *Experience interacting with business users/technical team/project
managers/senior management/external vendors;*

·        *Excellent problem identification and solving skills;*

·        *Experience working within a SOA environment and SOA governance
model;*

·        * Exposure to Business Process Analysis( Process Service Matrix)  and
Mapping  with SOA;*

·        *Proven history of successful customer relationship and
satisfaction experience;*

·        *Proven ability to work on a client-focused basis;*

·        *Detail oriented.*
