Note: I will consider only 100% match resume Role: Storage Consultant Location: National Travel 75-100% Duration: 12 Months Rate: $Open +Expenses Client: Hitachi Description: Ø Client is a leading provider of hardware, software, and services. Ø They are experiencing solid growth. Due to this growth, our client needs storage engineering experts to perform storage migrations and assist with administration. Ø These migrations will be from EMC, IBM legacy HDS, and other vendor's platforms on to HDS platforms, primarily USPV and USPVM. Ø The consultants will travel to client sites, review the current infrastructure, and assist in executing on data migration solutions. Ø Some of these customers have VMWare Virtual servers (ESX). Ø The consultants will therefore need to be very knowledgeable in multiple vendor SAN technologies. Ø The consultant may be involved with the gathering of logical and physical specifications for required connectivity between storage systems, operating system configuration requirements, and site surveys and, task sequencing. Ø The consultant will need perform the actual migration of data. Many of these migrations involve tiered storage architectures. Ø The consultant will be involved with replication practices as well using HUR. Thin client provisioning will handled by the use of HDP, HTnM, HTsM, TrueCopy, and ShadowImage. Ø This role is 75%-100% travel but you can be home on weekends. Ø The consultants need to have expert level experience with storage migrations in EMC, IBM, or other storage platforms and our client will train you on HDS products or the consultant should be a mid to senior level HDS engineer. This is a 12 month engagement.
