SQL Knowledge is must. ETL Tester Rochester, NY 6+ Months The testers will be working closely with the ETL development team and Data Analyst to create a detailed test plan based on functional & technical specs provided by the Data Analysts. The testers will then be responsible for executing against the test case with manual execution. Job description : . Ability to write complex SQL queries and data retrieval from very large scale relational databases or Data Warehouse. . Significant testing expertise in a Data Warehouse Environment (Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) ). . Strong experience with test Planning/defect tracking systems such as Quality Center and typical prioritization / escalation processes. . Performing testing tasks with a minimum of oversight and direction. . Creating test bed and Fabricating test data if necessary. Skills need to be have : . Strong back end testing from a data warehouse environment. . Strong skills with writing complex SQL queries . Knowledge of data warehousing concepts ( general knowledge of ETL processes & general knowledge of Business Intelligence).
