*Job Title: Project Manager (Banking) Location: Chicago, Illinois Duration: 12 MONTH CONTRACT* *Responsibilities and Experience:* *Candidate must be an experienced senior project manager, with experience managing IT projects (+5 years experience managing projects). Candidate must have excellent communication skills and will be interfacing with business partners on a regular basis providing project status and timelines. Candidate must have a proven background of working with teams performing large custom development projects. The candidate must have a team oriented approach to project management and will be working closely with developers, solution architects, and other IT teams. *Demonstrated experience in the development and mentoring of staff *Demonstrated project management skills; experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal staff, contractors and vendors; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives. *There is a formal SDLC processes that must be maintained and tracked to ensure compliance. *Also desirable but not required would be a candidate with experience in the financial industry in particular Transfer Agency. *Project is a large Web strategy project currently in the Business Requirements phase. There will be multiple teams involved and the candidate must be able to communicate with these diverse teams. *Experience developing project schedules, coordinates project status meetings and manage resources in all phases of software development lifecycle. *Project Manager will work with the project business owner to oversee delivery performance, ensure delivery quality and report schedule, cost, and execution performance. *Plans and directs the activities of staff to partner with customers to define requirements and achieve an optimum integration of software products and evolving technologies to achieve a balance between multiple project priorities and business objectives. *Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills *Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information systems or related software engineering field.
