Position : Network Analyst Location : San Antonio, TX Duration : 12 months Should Work in nights DESCRIPTION : · The primary responsibilities of the Network Support Analyst will be to maintain the client’s network infrastructure. · Tasks will include monitoring of the LAN/WAN equipment and telecom circuits. · Candidate will support and troubleshoot network problems; · work with third party providers; and handle day-to-day administration of client’s global networks. The selected candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of Cisco hardware and relevant configurations as it pertains to layer 2 and layer 3 switching and VPN experience. · Candidate will also demonstrate experience in network infrastructure design, troubleshooting, implementation and support. Required skills : · Minimum 5+ yrs of IT Network support Current CCNP certification (Cisco Certified Network Professional) Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a WAN network infrastructure Knowledge of and experience with wide area technologies such as PPP, PoS and MPLS Using Network Address Translation (NAT) on Cisco Products Troubleshooting and maintaining TCP/IP networks Extensive knowledge of the IP protocol suite and the associated routing issues Ability to use packet capture tools and decode packets to assist in trouble shooting. Experience in LAN protocol management to include address management and network protocol configuration High speed telecommunications circuits Installing, maintaining and configuring Cisco switch/router products Cisco Quality of Service (QOS) VOIP experience Cisco Routers VLANS Spanning Tree · Maintains and consistently demonstrates a general knowledge of company guidelines, processes, practices and procedures. Researches and resolves issues concerning network systems. Performs network hardware and/or software installations, either upgrades or new systems. Reviews plans for the installation of network hardware and software upgrades. Provides support in the development of operations support plans and major network project plans. Provides direction, as required, to the Network Analyst and vendors on network problem resolution and on project implementation activities. Through phone contact and meetings, resolves complex user network problems. Through phone contact and on-site meetings, resolves vendor related high level network problems.
