Job Title: Websphere Middleware Engineer

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 12 Months



This position will support the administration, integration and
implementation of application infrastructure specifically related to IBM
WebSphere MQ. Must be proficient in WebSphere MQ implementation and
troubleshooting; Monitoring MQ and related environmental components;
Diagnosing and trouble-shooting problems on MQ and related software
products; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with
infrastructure and application development groups. Environment platform is
windows, AIX and mainframe.



WebSphere MQ on both distributed and mainframe platforms.

Distributed programming language -preferably Java, WAS knowledge



Specifically MQ connection classes.

*Engineering *

• Assist with research, prototyping and engineering of applications
requiring MQ.

• Perform research to determine industry proven best practices,

• Design, Build, and Test complex systems

• Create a design for deployment.



*Production Support *

• Lead troubleshooting and resolutions effort for WebSphere MQ
implementations.

• Monitoring and application performance

• Request / problem management

• Processing of incidents

• Develop Work around

• Resolution

• Root cause analysis

• Assist with system administration for production systems



WAS MDB experience desired. CICS-Cobol knowledge a plus.
