ROLE Windows Administrator DURATION 12 Months - long term LOCATION Ashburn STATE VA ROLE DESC Job Description for the Project: This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining Microsoft Windows servers in a large fast-paced environment. Day to day activities include: · Working with customers, project managers, peers and team members to ensure system availability above 99%. · Installing and configuring standard tools and applications. · Installing / upgrading system software, managing multiple technical projects simultaneously, nearly constant communication via email, instant messenger, and conference calls. · Providing support for issues reported via the ticketing system and crisis management teams, keeping management informed on pertinent issues and projects via written and verbal reports on a routine basis. Required Skills for the Project: · Minimum 5 years supporting current versions of Microsoft Windows Server and related components. · Must have experience supporting server clustering, and database servers. · Must provide excellent customer service and communication skills and have considerable experience supporting Intel-based servers, the Windows Server 2003 operating systems and use of remote access boards (HP ILO, Dell DRAC, Etc). · Candidate must also be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and projects, and highly motivated. Work Hours/Shift Timings:: Position will primarily work normal business hours (8.00 A.M to 5.00 P.M. , Monday to Friday) but may be contacted outside of these hours to respond to production outages as required.
