Title: *Citrix Server Engineer* Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 6+ Months *Description: Citrix Server engineers * - Requisite operational background in Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and PS5, Windows 200 Metaframe XPe FR3, Windows 2003 Presentation server 4.0, Windows 2003(x86 and x64) XenApp4.5 (5.0), Windows 2008 - Discover, record and analyze infrastructure support servers at exit sites (approx 20) - E.g. Domain controllers, WINS, FTP and utility servers - Discover, record and analyze Citrix-hosted applications on stand-alone or farm nodes servers (approx 240) - Operating system versions, services (FTP, print, etc) - Discover, record and analyze back-end database connectivity, in/out bound feeds linked to hosted applications (approx 70) - Discover, record and analyze network security, firewalls and DMZ environments as/if required - Discover, record and analyze local or SAN/NAS storage related to Citrix app servers and their LOB-managed database engines (approx 30) - Discover, record and analyze user and line-of-business subscribers - Leverage resource manager tools to identify usage patterns - Develop impact assessments based upon hosted application and servers (N users, X lines-of-business, Y global locations) - Convert Citrix server instances from physical to virtual (P2V) as per scope - Leverage JPMC-provided virtualized hosting facility (VM farms) - Provide technical Q&A data to workflow coordinators - Documented information gathered from server analysis becomes input to workflow systems that drive datacenter operations activities - Work with LOB technical liaisons to test parallel (swing), fork-lifted or virtualized environments - Manage iterative QA, UAT cycles and go/no-go assessments - Manage off-hours/night/weekend cut-overs and provide Day 1 support as required by application suite - Partner with workflow coordinators to support equipment migration (forklift) and re-initializing services - Execute logical decommissioning of existing servers/services once migrated to end-state in receiver site(s) - Removal of all user data - Removal of monitoring tools - Removal of Citrix application layer - Create operating run-books (OPBs) based upon new Citrix application server and site configurations (physical and/or virtual) - Develop proceduralized "take-down" books by consolidating existing JPMC/GTI/CTS Citrix decommissioning processes; maintain log books for each server and/or application set - Publish and provide all documentation to JPMC (hardcopy and or electronic) - Partner with JPMC Citrix production support, engineering teams and infrastructure deployment teams to ensure Day 1 turnover meets production readiness standards and servers are 100% supported. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ORACLE DWH DBA" group.
