The *Quality Assurance Enginee*r will join our growing *Mobile app team*.
This person will help verify that the business vision has been turned into
physical reality by validating that the mobile site, app and systems meet
design specifications and requirements for our mobile product.
*Mobile QA exp*erience with device testing and API testing is required for
this role.
Role demands *White Box T*esting, *Black Box T*esting, and a strong
automation skill set.
Prior *Mobile App*lication (*iPhone, Android*) testing experience is a must.
*Responsibilities:-*
Review and report on test case results to Business Leader / Team Lead, as
well as cross-functional team members regarding any potential quality issues
per build/release.
Attend feature design sessions.
Review functional, design/implementation specifications.
Develop functional and system test cases.
Revise and execute regression test cases.
Identify test requirements from specifications.
Execute test cases.
Isolate, replicate and report defects and verify defect fixes.
Part of a strong team which delivers a high quality product to our
customers.
Automate the test cases using frameworks like TestNG, Selenium etc.
All other duties as assigned.
Participate in scrums and other ceremonies of the agile team.
*Qualifications:-*
BS in computer science or equivalent
Must have at least 5+ years of QA experience in a *commercial
software/Internet company*, with unit testing, regression and system testing
implementing sound methodologies and plans.
Experience using sql queries.
Knowledge of any Programming Language (*preferably java*) is a must
*Mobile QA* and testing expertise with various devices, emulator, services
and APIs.
*Mobile testing* experience with browser based applications.
*Mobile testing* experience with *iPhone/Andorid *native apps.
Ability to provide accurate project/task effort estimates.
Create clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases.
Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal
communications.
Liaison with development, project management, and customer support for test
and QA related functions.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to work fairly autonomously in day-to-day testing of large scale web
applications.
Experience testing web applications using manual and automated test
methodologies.
Ability to query and manipulate data. (Experience writing SQL queries for
data validation, manipulation and verification is required).
Knowledge of working in Unix environment; experience testing HTML,
JavaScript.
Good understanding of Quality Assurance processes and methodologies.
Knowledge of QA tools including bug/defect tracking systems; test management
software such as Mercury Quality Center, and domain knowledge.
Experience using multiple web browsers.
Experience with *Agile methodologies* such as *SCRUM* is desired.
