Job Role: Oracle Database Consultant Location: Macon, GA Duration: 3+ Months U.S. Citizens Only Description: . Setup of Oracle Real Application Testing or Quest Benchmark Factory toolsets . Performance Testing with Oracle RAT (with Load Accelerator desired) or Quest BF . Development of driver scripts (PL/SQL) for appropriate load generation. . Analysis of Performance Test metrics and Performance tuning of Oracle Database . Oracle Database 10g to 11g upgrade (Windows & HP-UX environments) . Installation, Patching and upgrades of Oracle Database. . Cloning Oracle Database . Troubleshooting, Backup and recovery of Oracle Database REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE: . Minimum of 10 years experience with Oracle Database Administrator under Windows & HP-UX environments - including installing, upgrading and recovering databases (Oracle 10g/11g). . Hands-on experience with Oracle RAT or Quest BF for Oracle database performance testing. . Hands-on experience with PL/SQL scripting . Hands-on experience with Oracle Database Migration, Patching, Upgrades and Cloning test and development environments from production environment. . Knowledge in underlying Oracle Applications database architecture - schemas/products, database objects, file system structure, tables, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes, and constraints. . Experience with configuration, load balancing, backup/recovery, sizing and space management, diagnostics, and proficient with the use of Oracle's Enterprise Manager Tool. SOFT SKILLS: . Excellent trouble shooting abilities to identify root cause of production issues and resolve them quickly to maintain high availability. Experience opening, managing, and resolving Oracle SR's is a must. . Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies, analysis and cost controls. Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills. Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to a business audience. . Excellent organizational and time management skills with a focus on delivery, responsiveness, ownership and accountability are also critical. . Oracle database Admin certification desired.
