LENGTH: 2 months LOCATION: Providence, RI Rate: DOE/hr Serve as the lead developer of CLIENT’s corporate intranet and Internet sites. Work cross-functionally across the organization; collaborate closely with developers, designers, and Web content owners on the integration of content, design and technology; translates design and information flow to application needs to create high-impact Web pages. Provide direction and guidance to the communication team. Create and maintain overall site and page composition, design studies and user flows for the corporate intranet and Internet. Determine and implement the development of Web pages from an end-user perspective. Manage the development, integration and maintenance of content management systems and templates, and supervises the integration of search tool functionality. Keep CLIENT user interfaces fresh, intuitive and consistent with other communication channels. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (nature and scope of position, maximum of 10): • Serve as the lead for end-user Web design for the corporate Internet and intranet sites, including, but not limited to: mockups/prototypes, Flash development, UI/UX creation and maintenance, Visual Design, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), photography for Web components. Work cross-functionally with the Integrated Solutions and Application Support teams to develop user-friendly web pages based on perimeters established by external business owners. Develop wireframes/mockups and requirements, determine structural hierarchy, flow and navigation, and improve existing user interfaces based on end-user feedback. • Develop, maintain, and support content management templates for internal s. Manage and enhance the On-line Reference Tool (ORT) and alBERT as requested by the business or as needed. Run WebTrends (or equivalent) analytical reports as requested by the business and conduct and manage the implementation of search tool appliances. Based on direction from management, learn and implement new technologies. Keep abreast of the latest front-end technologies for the Web. • Maintain User Site Documentation and Site Map(s). Conduct usability testing, analyzes results, make recommendations and presents, as needed, to various interdisciplinary groups • Mentor Web and Junior Web Developers. • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education and Experience: • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Five or more years of relevant development experience. • Command of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and proficiency working with Windows system software, DHTML, XML, Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Flash and Dreamweaver (or equivalent editor) is required. • Must possess a thorough understanding of interface design, especially from an end-user perspective. Preferred Education, Additional Qualifications and Experience: • Perl and PHP scripting experience is a plus. • Java/JSP experience is helpful. • Proficiency with a variety of software, including web software. • Advanced knowledge of Autonomy (Interwoven) source control (or other version control system). • Experience working with content management/deployment systems, especially Autonomy’s (Interwoven) TeamSite and OpenDeploy. • Knowledge of health insurance products and services in eCommerce desirable. • Ability to write code “by hand.” Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: • Working knowledge of networking, infrastructure, software, data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies. • Strong knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility and limitation issues. • Knowledge of technical support and server management. • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. • Detail oriented. • Strong organizational and project management skills. • Verbal and written communication skills. • Thorough understanding of server-side scripting. • Fast working, creative and accurate. • Ability to merge code. • Ability to support QA efforts. • Ability to create and evaluate workflow diagrams and mockups, make technology recommendations for optimal construction, maintenance and performance issues. • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues. • Ability to learn on the fly and with little support. • Understanding of the inner workings of web development and work efficiently with back-end developers and IT staff. • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently. ** * Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
