Background
Our client desires systems stability while enabling computing innovation and
flexibility closer to business users. Our client has successfully upgraded
to SharePoint 2010, however they need to better understand and leverage it's
portal and collaboration capabilities to achieve this vision. Building a
test SharePoint Enterprise environment to enable technical I/T learning and
business case research is the next step towards achieving these goals.
Proposal/Deliverables
1. Build 2 proof of concept for portal webparts and mashups integrated with
SAP systems.
2. Develop technical architecture in test environment.
3. Provide learning environment for I/T.Net, SharePoint and distributed
systems integration development practices.
Consultant requirements and tasks:
Need the following experience from a consultant:
Visual Studio 2010
TFS
SharePoint development and integration (SharePoint Designer Two)
Key tasks:
Appropriate architecture design patterns
Develop detail designs based on high level designs.
Initial configuration of all environments and tools (SharePoint,
Visual Studio, TFS, .Net packages, etc.).
Resolution and trouble shooting of technical environments and tools
as issues are encountered.
C# .Net coding best practices.
SharePoint integration best practices.
TFS integration and usage best practices.
Leveraging SharePoint Designer where appropriate best practices to
enable more business users.
Deployment best practices.
