The BID will design and develop Business Intelligence content by identifying report requirements and determining business rules through a structured elicitation process and will ensure that information and reporting satisfies Enterprise business needs and the reporting needs of individual departments. Information Management group will be providing a single source of enterprise data to the business in order for cross functional, strategic business decisions to be made. Currently the business has no way of viewing cross business data in a comprehensive way. Who is the Internal/External Customer? (i.e., end-user or end-client) : Internal: Cross functional business groups across the enterprise. Impact to the Internal/External Customer? (i.e., how does the end-users job become easier?) : The BI layer of the EDW will allow various business groups to create detailed reports using cross functional data. This will enable the business to make decisions using data from different business groups that wasn't before available through the older corporate data warehouse. Project Stage/Lifecycle Info : Full life cycle development from taking requirements through assisting in QA Technical Environment : Business Objects XIR2 Suite, Teradata Non-technical Skills (i.e., communication, problem solving, etc.): : The ability to take business reporting requirements from end users.
