12 months Port Washington, NY Face-to-Face Interview Required The new position is a developer for Data Warehouse project that can fulfill multiple roles, which include QA and Data warehouse SQL developer. Here is a description: The applicant will be developer for a large scale Data Warehouse implementation project. The applicant must demonstrate competence is all the above mentioned skills. This project requires taking complex business requirements and implementing them in a highly scalable/well performing enterprise level data warehousing solution. 1) Must understand fundamental Data Warehousing and OLAP concepts. Must understand Kimball schema design. 2) Must have experience implementing Type II Slowly Changing Dimensions in a Kimball based Data Warehouse Schema. 3) Strong skills with SQL Server Relational Database Engine. Must understand large scale implementation techniques such as partitioning, indexing, high performance data loading techniques, and performance tuning. Strong knowledge of Transact SQL is a must. 4) Experience with implementing large scale OLAP solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services. Must understand performance consequences of dimension design. Must understand partitioning and aggregation design. Must know AMO and XMLA. All solutions require automated incremental processing, so applicant must demonstrate experience implementing creative automated solutions. 5) Good MDX skills. Knowledge of client tools for querying is a plus. Must know how to write well performing MDX queries. 6) Strong SQL Server Integration Services skills. Must understand package configurations. Must understand script components in SSIS. 7) Working knowledge of .NET coding. Expert .NET coding skills are not required, but a good working knowledge is necessary in order to implement custom ETL code. 8) Understanding of Windows Server Operating System configuration is a plus.
