We're looking for people who love continual learning and who must be
comfortable mentoring others and being mentored so we can share each
others strengths in order to produce a well functioning site.
Database Design, Implementation, and Administration
Monitoring and tuning all MySQL databases
Backup and Recovery of databases
Optimization of queries
Maintain systems
Preferred, but not required that the candidate has experience working
in a Rails environment.
Education Requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
MySQL DBA Certification
Experience: 3+ years of MySQL
experience
Skills:
MySQL required
Full knowledge of Stored Procedures, Events, Triggers, Partitioning,
etc.
Oracle / SQL Server experience a plus
Linux knowledge required
Knowledge of one or more scripting languages is required. (Ruby,Perl,
PHP, Python,etc)
