Position: Technical Writer Location: Jersey City, New Jersey Duration: 6 Months Senior Technical Writer Description Replace existing help file for a major financial product with an updated, sophisticated help file. Work with stakeholders to gather information about each of the product segments to develop help documentation. Develop documentation in line with corporate standards, style and language. Work on other updates and documentation as needed to include user guides, quick references and reference material. Work with other writers and resources during the development of the documentation. Perform edits as needed. Qualifications . Proficiency developing sophisticated help . Advanced user of the following: o RoboHELP / HTML o Word o QuarkXpress . Five plus years experience in a software environment . Experience with both Windows' and web-based products . Good understanding of the software development cycle . Four-year degree in English or Technical Communication . Other degree with Technical Writing Certification Nice to have: . Background in fixed income finance . Knowledge of DITA .
