Position: Network Engg. Location: Dallas Texas Duration: 11 Months Project Name: Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) Project Description: (What project will the contractor be working on?) Support for FTTP/ATM. Required Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills: Experience in either equipment build, provisioning, Customer Care or NOC/TAC environment. Two or more years experience with ATM/DSL and POTS. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications, strong written and verbal skills. Customer Care experience. Experience with Alcatel Network Edge equipment and outside plant. Job Description: (What will the contractor do on that project?) Primary job responsibility is end-to-end customer support of AT&T U-verse FTTP (Fiber To The Premise) platform for Project Lightspeed. Job functions cover a variety of equipment and include customer installation, customer trouble isolation, problem solving, escalations and FOA support of this Alcatel platform. Individual must be a self-starter as well as team player. Position requires a good understanding of large networks, network equipment, provisioning, trouble isolation, equipment configurations, ATM switch, DSL, and POTS. Solid experience with troubleshooting and knowledge of both the physical and data link layers. This position may be filled for time of day and day of week for 365 days of the year, depending on the needs of the business.
